HANDLE REAL WORLD SIGNALS WITHOUT ADDITIONAL SIGNAL CONDITIONERS
OMEGAÆs OMD-5600 series digital input/output boards are unique in the world of PC plug-in data acquisition. Designed to simplify signal connection, each I/O board includes a detachable screw terminal panel that mates with the board connector at the rear of the PC. Integral signal conditioning at the terminal panel allows the OMD-5600 boards to accept ac and dc field wiring directly, eliminating costs associated with external signal conditioners, cables and power supplies.

4000 V ISOLATED INDUSTRIAL I/O
To prevent potentially devastating voltages from entering the host computer, the OMD-5600 series provide isolation located at detachable screw terminations outside the PC. Most models are standard with 4000 Vrms optical or mechanical isolation. A perfect fit for heavy duty applications.

ADVANCED INTERRUPT CAPABILITIES
All of the OMD-5600 boards provide advanced interrupt capabilities. An interrupt may be generated from the I/O lines by a specified bit change of state or a bit maskable pattern match. The boards may also be configured to provide rate programmable periodic interrupts.

EXPANSION
Each OMD-5600 is supplied with an integral 8, 16 or 32 channel terminal panel. The boards which use 8 or 16 panels (OMD-5608ACI, OMD-5608ACO,OMD-5616DCI, OMD-5616DCO) may be expanded to access an additional 8 or 16 points by installing one of three expansion panels. All channels on the expansion panels provide 4000 Vrms optical isolation. Expansion panels are mounted adjacent to the standard panel and use an additional PC slot space.
